I think that today was a success and a failure. I wish we could've won, but pop cost us the challenge. I hope he starts following the directions. I'm glad pop's plan of voting out aguja worked. Had it not been them, pop, one of my closest allies, would've been gone. I'm happy I was able to build up the numbers to save pop. I hope people realize that he's not a huge challenge threat.
I'm really happy us Screaming Gophers finally won invincibility. However, me racing on foot instead of resetting, which was literally me doing what the host said to, might've sparked a little curiosity and some of my team might thing I was out looking for some kind of advantage. Lizard isn't feeling comfortable on the Killer Bass side, which isn't good, because the Bass majority want to eliminate us Gophers one by one at merge and Lizard, max, and zombie were supposed to be in an alliance at merge and take some of them out. I'm excited to see what plays out next session.
So today was a really big session. The invincibility challenge loss isn't something us Gophers should be too mad about, as the Bass' route was closest to the fire. Voting Paige was too most of our interests. She hadn't come to a session since session one so it didn't look like she was coming back anytime soon. The decision to vote her for me came down to knowing that the Bass want to systematically eliminate the Gophers at merge so we need some active players. Good choice.
I'm pretty concerned for us Screaming Gophers. The Killer Bass majority alliance not voting out pizza, even though he literally cost their team a challenge, just proves how tight the alliance is. Both zombie and max are now out and that's not good news because zombie, max, and Lizard were initially supposed to join the Gopher remainders to form a majority alliance at merge. Since Echo seemed like he was going to either join the Bass alliance or be the last Gopher standing at merge, jalen, who I now trust more, Green, and I voted him out. I explained to Green that I' m trying to keep our team safe at merge and luckily for me, he said he understands. He's one of my biggest allies in the game. The best case scenario for me come merge is to have an alliance made up of Morbrid, ###### ###### Stephen, Lizard, pop, and I, as I'm going to try to recruit Stephen next session.
This session was very up-and-down. I didn't know that I had to do the first part of the first challenge so my team's loss might've been my fault. For a while, I wasn't fully settled on who to vote out since I didn't know how active Morbrid would be at merge or if Jalen would rejoin the bass to go against us. I thought Green would be loyal to our alliance, but pop revealed Green took him out in a previous longterm and that he's in another longterm with Jalen so he didn't want to betray him to mess up his other game, and that he also didn't want to vote out Morbrid. In order to keep pop loyal to me it felt like I had to go along with his plan and vote out Green. I'm proud of my teams' performance in the second invincibility challenge as Morbrid was good at collecting flags and Jalen stayed where he was to help Morbrid and I barely defeat the Bass to secure invincibility. If there's any chance I'm not going to be an early merge boot, I'm going to have to earn my stay.
I'm surprised at this session. I thought I was in a solid majority alliance and that we were all set on voting logan, but I guess an alliance of eight took out pop. I knew logan wanted pop out for a while. I did my best to rally up some numbers to vote out logan in the final 12, as he wasn't even there at the time. and it could've been successful had max not voted himself out. It would've been a 6-5 vote with logan going home, but now, with 11 people left, I'm not sure if any alliances are official just yet. I'll try to build an alliance of 7 to vote logan out, but if we wins, I'll try to vote Shawna instead, who I don't know if I can trust in this game.
It felt great winning individual invincibility for the first time this season. It looks like people made a move at the bonfire ceremony and logan was voted out after I voted him the last two ceremonies and he didn't get voted out. After three votes toward him in a row, he's out of the game and I hope new alliances open up for me and I can have power and get to the end. It looks like the head of the snake was chopped off.
This season was amazing to be a part of. There's a lot to cover. I started off on the Screaming Gophers team, and with past friends like pop and Lizard, and there alliances with people on both teams, I felt like I was in a good spot on the team. However, our team lost several members before the very crucial merge. I going into the merge, it looked as if Lizard was right about the Killer Bass wanting to take us out one by one, and around the merge session I lost many allies. I survived three merge episodes since pop was a huge target for a long time, max was threatening to the Killer Bass who'd already voted him off that season, and logan was the leader of the Killer Bass alliance. However, I could not attend the session and was automatically eliminated. With the basics of my journey talked about, I am very proud of the way I played. I combined several strategies I'd used in several other reality seasons as one. In the beginning, with us Gophers losing so many challenges, I tried aligning with many people on the team so they wouldn't consider me to vote out. During the first session, after losing out first invincibility challenge, I had been notified by pop to vote out majesticmarlin. However, Lizard and dx wanted to vote out pop. I talked to the two and convinced them to vote out marlin since he didn't attend the session and that we'd want active people on the team to possibly face an alliance of Killer Bass members that would maybe want to take us out. Once Lizard, who had switched to the Killer Bass team, told me that the Bass wanted to take us out one by one, I started convincing my teammates to vote off people who would potentially note help us stay in the game at merge. However, I realized that my allies could see my game and realize I'm a big strategist. so I made sure to let them know that I was orchestrating vote-outs to keep our team safe at merge. Once getting to merge, I tried to convince enough people to vote out logan over pop. However, eight people did not vote that way, and pop, who'd been a target for such a long time, was voted out. I then realized that the Bass might take us out one by one, which Lizard said they wanted to do. I then tried once again to take out logan, and it could've been successful, However, max voted himself and he got voted out over logan in a 6-5 vote, which he could've contributed to logan being voted off in a 6-5 voted. Even though it looked like I was in the minority, I still realized that I was kind of successful, getting some people to vote logan. logan was a lot of people's targets and was taken out in the final 11, which I also one individual immunity that session. I then talked with brent, and it looked like we were going to make it far in the game and play double agent as a duo to cover up our games.
However, I couldn't attend a session so I was automatically eliminated. Some of the strategies I'd used this season were the chess strategy, which was were I'd make a move with the consideration of what other people were ultimately going make as a move. I used the easy vote strategy, where I established myself as a truthful person so people would want to keep me around to vote along with them in their plans. I used the quiet strategy, trying not to openly do something against my own game. I used the convincing strategy, trying to use reasoning to convince my allies to vote a certain way. I used the why get rid of me strategy when I had little power in the game, which was telling people about other's plans so they'd see threats to their games and that I was good to have for information. Ultimately, I think I played the game very hard and was never somebody who was just seen as a follower. It was an honor competing in this longterm and I hope my game is valued, and I'm glad I got to be a strategist which is what I wanted to be. Even though I didn't win or get voted out, I still feel like I was playing. It's also interesting to realize I could have possibly made it to the end of the game. I'm glad that many people in the season were playing as well. Thanks to whatupinator for a great season and I hope to return for many future seasons.
